Back from hiatus

OK, been a while since updating this blog. April – June I worked out and watched my diet consistently inconsistent. I slowly dropped to the mid-250’s and stayed around 254 for a couple months. I was OK with that, as opposed to gaining weight.

July was going to be the big workout month. I was going to try to get a weight-loss track going again. We spent 3-weeks of July in upstate NY. First thing every morning was a 2-hour workout with Jaden, so he could get ready for football in August. We’d jog 2 miles, do some uphill sprints (75 yards each), do some weight lifting, push-ups and sit-ups. That worked great for about 1 week, then I got Achilles tendonitis. (Found out later that one cause of this is excessive uphill running.) Feels like a severely bruised heel. Couldn’t run and had to walk with a bit of a limp. Well push-ups and sit-ups alone do not make for a good weight-loss program. By the end of July I was up over 260! FFUUUCCCCKKKKK!!!

Well August is here and still have the tendonitis (working on getting it better, but it’s a slow process), but have a new workout and diet plan going. Bonnie went to Max Muscle and got us on a Protein diet of some sort. Protein shake here, protein shake there, small meals, blah, blah, blah. She also get’s my butt out of bed at 0’dark-thirty for a 45-minute aerobic workout. Every muscle in my body is sore. And I thought jogging was bad. We’ll see how it goes thru August. I back under 260 so far and don’t want to see 260 again.

Oh, for July I shaved my head. It’s great. I slide right through the air with no resistance. I do get colder at work with the A/C blowing down on me.
